the aftermath

Not gonna lie, I haven’t listened to a single second of Coheed’s new album, The Aftermath: Ascension.  It has been hard to top In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3 and Good Apoll, I’m Burning Stat IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (how about that for the longest album names, c?), but I’m sure Coheed and Cambria will not disappoint with the release of their sixth album.
For those of you who don’t know, Coheed’s albums are all based on The Amory Wars, a story written by the big-haired lead singer, Claudio Sanchez.  Not only has he made the story into a novel and comic books, but he has also sold millions of records by transcribing the story into music.  For a girl who refuses to watch Lord of the Rings, I am surprised that I enjoy exploring Coheed’s science-fiction universe.  You have to give the guys credit; they are unbelievable creative…and they put on a hell of a show.
